| Alvenius won the contract for the prestigious tunnel project Crossrail C300 in London, UK. A total of 72 km of pipes and fittings. |
The pipes are spirally welded from certified pressure vessel carbon swedish steel. This makes it possible to keep the wall thickness of the pipe down without having to decrease the maximum design pressure. This results in a low weight pipe system for pressures up to 70 bar (1000 psi). The pipes and pipe fittings are equipped with machined rings at the ends for accurate fit to the coupling. Alvenius can offer a complete pipe system in dimensions from O.D. 48 mm up to 508 mm (2" to 20").
Alvenius pipe systems are manufactured in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive, PED 97/23/EC. Regular X-ray control takes place and all pipes undergo visual inspection as well as hydrostatic test at 1,5 times their classified working pressure. Read more >>
